Lois Humphrey

March 26, 1926 — May 7, 2020

Our precious mother, Lois Humphrey, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Thursday morning, May 7, 2020. She was born in Anderson to parents, Carl and Persia (Pittman) Gordon. She was a 1944 graduate of Anderson High School. Having been saved at a young age, Mother faithfully attended and served her Lord at Grace Baptist Church in Anderson until health issues prevailed. Surviving are her daughters, Anna (Dee) Jackson of Anaheim, California and Sara (Dencil) Ward of Anderson. She was blessed with 3 grandsons, Bill (Rocio) Jackson, Mike (Bridget) Jackson & Denzil (fiancée, Pam) Ward. Filling her cup of blessings are great-grandchildren, Jessica Idoine, Billy Jackson, Spencer Jackson & Isaiah Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Humphrey in 2000; her parents; and her siblings, Norm, Don, Richard, Robert and Carol Gordon. The family would like to extend our appreciation to the nurses and staff of Sugar Fork Crossing for their care of our mother these past 2 years. A service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, with social distancing, will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
