Lois D. Gordon, 92, of New Haven and formerly of Anderson, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was born on March 18, 1923 to the late Floyd and Mabel (Smith) Ditteon in Columbia City. She lived most of her life in Anderson moving to New Haven in 2006 to live with her daughter.

Lois graduated from Anderson High School and retired from Delco-Remy in 1982. She was a 72 year member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson and was a WAVE in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed in Washington DC.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Michael) Linn of Sarasota, FL; and Kathy Krouse of New Haven, IN; four grandchildren, Randall (Carey Brown) Carey, Ian (LouAnn) Linn, Sarah (Jeremiah) Overly and Patrick (Jayme) Krouse; nine great grandchildren, Karrie, Kyla, Brandon, Kelsey, Kourtney, Kaylee, Kierstyn, Devyn and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Gordon in 1963; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Etna May Ditteon.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 266 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
