Lisa Rae Southard

Lisa Rae Southard, 48, Tipton, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
She was born on October 24, 1962, in Tipton, Indiana to Frederick and Martha (Smeltzer) Knapp.
She graduated from Noblesville High School in 1981.
Lisa owned and operated Morris Southard Trucking with her husband for 27 years.
She was a member of the New Life in Christ Ministries in Frankfort and had attended Heartland Ministries in Sharpsville. She also belonged to the Four B's in Tipton
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Morris "Hoss" Southard; three children, Tanya Southard of Tipton, Jake (wife, Casey) Southard of Tipton, and Samantha Southard of Tipton; two grandchildren, Edward and Taylar Southard; her parents, Fred and Martha Knapp of Arcadia; one brother, Jeff (wife, Tracy) Knapp of Lewisville, TX; one sister, Connie (husband, Chuck) Hands of Noblesville; her mother-in-law, Helen Southard of Noblesville; her brother-in-law, Eddie (wife, Cindy) Southard of Noblesville; and her sister-in-law, Beth (husband, Joe) Williams of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Dent; and her father-in-law, K. Southard.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Arcadia Church of the Brethren in Arcadia with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, September 2, 2011, at Arcadia Church of the Brethren, 8989 East 266th Street, Arcadia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
