Lindsey Anne Wilkins

Lindsey Anne Wilkins, 33, Anderson, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at her home.
She was born on June 15, 1983, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lindsey graduated from Lapel High School in 2002 and received a bachelors in special education for mild and severe disabilities from Ball State University in 2009 and was preparing to return to pursue a nursing degree.
She had been employed by The Cheesecake Factory in Indianapolis for over 5 years.
Lindsey enjoyed spending time with her daughter; family and friends; softball; camping; holidays with her family; making people smile; and helping others. She often joked with people using her unique, persistent sense of humor. Lindsey was a wonderful mother and had so many friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Cerenati Wilkins; mother, Jennifer, "Dee" Wilkins (Mike Betts) of Lapel; a brother, Zach Wilkins of Lapel; two sisters, Hailey Wilkins of New Orleans, LA and Simanney Wilkins (Todd Hersberger) of Lapel; a half-brother, Charles Moore of Chicago, IL; two step-siblings, Ian and Zoey Betts; maternal grandparents, Joe and Judy Wilkins of Fishers; her dad, David Popp; and several aunts; uncles and cousins.
Lindsey was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Howard and Billie Wilkins, and Annabelle Ellis and Clifford and Ruth Heiny.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 Main North Street, Lapel with Pastor Joe Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the domestic violence survivors organization of the donors choice.
