Linda K. Smay

Linda K. Smay, 58, Anderson, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
She was born on November 12, 1949, in Anderson, Indiana to Emmett and Viola (Castor) Whitmore.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1967.
Linda was employed at Raytheon Technical Services in Indianapolis for the past 10 years and had also been employed at the former Western Electric plant in Indianapolis for 15 years.
She was active in the Raytheon Clothe-A-Child program
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Smay; one daughter, Jamie Smay of Anderson; one step-daughter, Becky (husband, Dan) Ashton of Round Rock, TX; one step-son, David (wife, Trish) Smay of Springfield, MO; her father, Emmett Whitmore of Anderson; one sister, Judy (husband, Mike) Brown of Ocala, FL; one niece, Kelly (husband, Toby Fincher) Lane of Lapel; and a special cousin Connie Dickson of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev.s Evan Lash and Harold Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Memorial Cemetery in rural Noblesville.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
