Levetta P. Murdock, 88, Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at her sons home following an extended illness.
She was born on June 12, 1927, in Anderson, Indiana to Charles and Helen (Crawford) Pavey.
Levetta retired in 1977 from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson after 30 years of employment.
She enjoyed bowling in Anderson leagues. After retiring, she and her husband, Walter, lived in Daytona Beach, Florida and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for fifteen years before moving back to Indiana.
She is survived by one son, Tod (wife, Beth) Baker of Anderson; one granddaughter, Casey Baker of Noblesville; one great-granddaughter, Amiyah Baker of Noblesville; one sister, Waneta Hiatt of Anderson; and a nephew, Kevin Hiatt of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Murdock; two sisters, Rosemary McGowen and Jacqueline Pavey; a brother, Thomas L. Pavey; and a niece, Karen Hiatt.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 18, 2016, at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton with Chaplain Marjorie Vandergraff officiating and burial will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
