Lester C. “Butch” Helton, 73, passed away at Crown Pointe Senior Assisted Living Community, Anderson, on Saturday, October, 11, 2014.
He was born July 24, 1941 in Chesterfield, the son of the late Clyde Helton and Marybelle (Graham) Whetsel. Butch was a 1959 graduate of Highland High School, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a detective for the Anderson Police Department and a member of the award winning APD motorcycle drill team.
