Lester L. Dudley Jr., 85, also known by many as “Bing” passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at his residence in Kennard. He was born August 8, 1935 in Marion, IN. the son of the late Lester Sr. and Marion (Mullin) Dudley. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and loved talking and telling stories about it to anyone who would listen. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1999 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion #137, VFW, Moose Lodge in New Castle for over 45 years and the Golden Eagle of New Castle. He loved animals, birdwatching, reading and NASCAR. Bing is survived by his daughter Kim Blanch of Muncie; son, Duke (Susie) Dudley of Spiceland; grandchildren, Brandy Blanch, Mary Ann (Eric) Meade , Bryce Dudley, Dylan (Raechel) Dudley, great grandchildren, Michael Haines, Bentley Blanch, Fred Mead, Dominic Dudley, Breyleigh Blanch: sister, Diane Martin and his beloved dog Trixie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Mike Dudley and long time friend Joni Elkins. Service will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory in Wilkinson with Rev. Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow at Harlan Cemetery in Wilkinson with military honors by the New Castle American Legion. Visitation will be 12-2 prior to the service. Memorial donations can be made to the Henry Co. Humane Society 11 Midway Dr. New Castle, IN. 47362 Due to recent COVID-19 mandates, all guests are required to wear face coverings or masks and practice social distancing at visitation and services.
