Lena P. Williams Davis

Lena P. (Upton) Williams Davis, 93, Frankton, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Community Hospital of Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born on December 14, 1914, in Hillham, Tennessee to William and Laura (Malone) Upton.
Lena retired in 1991 from the deli at Carters Supermarket in Elwood and had been employed as a cook at the former Jackson Township school for many years.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Teresa (Williams) (husband, Tony) Kepner of Elwood, Kevin Williams of Lapel, Thomas (wife, Dottie) Williams of Georgetown, TX, Kenny Williams of Elwood, Terrell (wife, Vickie) Williams of Perkinsville, Kimberly (Williams) (husband, George) Murray, and Margie Williams both of Frankton; eleven great-grandchildren, Jane Williams, Michael (wife, Lauren) Williams, Jenelle Fry, Janai Murray, Donna Weimer, John Robbins, and Hope Ripberger, Brittany, Anthony, Shania Kepner, and Ambrielle Rosborough; six great-great-grandchildren, Branson and Blayne Williams, Kevin and Raymond Ripberger, and Joe and Ashley Robbins; her daughter-in-law, Rita Williams; her closest friends in life, Joanna, Becky, and Peggy Busby; several nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion Molly .
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her first husband, William Thomas Williams; her son, Michael Williams; her second husband, Jack Davis; and six brothers.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Jack Ross officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
