Leland G. “Jack” Keesling, age 84, of Anderson, passed away on January 17, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Henry County on May 12, 1932, to the late Cecil and Crystal Keesling. He graduated from Cadiz High School and has resided in Anderson since 1951. He retired from Delco Remy in 1988 after 37 ½ years of service. Jack enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing and morel mushroom hunting. He was well known as an avid supporter/fixture of many bowlers across many leagues at Coopers Sport Bowl, one in particular was the Tuesday night Delco Remy Maintenance League. Jack enjoyed bowling and was on various leagues in his earlier years. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (David) Smith; son, Paul Keesling; daughters, Elaine Toles and Lisa (Mark) Keesling; grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Leigh Ann (Todd) Vargo, Mike (Jackie) Lawrence, Jason (Lisa) Keesling, Ian (Lisa) Keesling, Diane (Stan) Arthur and Justn (Jennifer) Holbrook, Jonathan (Lalayne), Christopher (Daniela), Susan Rasley; great grandchildren, Kory, Bryce, Ashton, Michael, Derrick, Layton, Reagan, Collin, Jasla, Quinton, Kamren, Kalen and Karsen; great great grandchildren, Quinn, Sofia, Emilia and Holden. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Smith; daughter in law, Polly Keesling; brothers, Ronald Keesling and Cecil “Punk” Keesling; and sister, Emogene Hodson. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor David Reames officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 22, at the funeral home.
