Leland E. Modlin

Leland E. Modlin, 77, Lapel, passed away December 24, 2017, from complications of diabetes.
He was born on March 5, 1940, in Lapel to Eugene and Ruth L. (Peters) Modlin.
Leland was graduated from Lapel High School in 1958.
He retired in 2009 from ARSEE Engineers where he had worked as a structural engineer for over 40 years.
Leland is survived by one sister, Arlene (Modlin) Vigne; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Roger and Carrol.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 Main Street, Lapel. Burial will follow in Neese Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday and 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the funeral.
