Lee F. Johnson

Lee (Lefty, LeeBee) F. Johnson went peacefully to sleep on January 25, 2018 with his family by his side. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. Nothing was more important to him. More recently, Lee and Craig formed ChemoBlaze, writing much of their own music and recording a CD. He also recently wrote a book, Brain Cancer Sucks, inspiring others who suffer from the dreaded disease. Lee was a bowler and loved to fish. He was a member of the Indiana University bowling team, being twice named Bowler of the Year, and was recently inducted into the Bloomington Bowlers Hall of Fame. Lee was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association, and traveled with the tour for seven years. He owned and operated two pro shops at bowling alleys in Bloomington. He loved teaching young bowlers. Lee always wanted to live on a lake so that he could fish every day. He achieved that goal nearly 10 years ago, acquiring a house on a lake in Greenwood, Indiana. Lee graduated from Indiana University with a degree in business and information technology. Lee worked at Backhaul Direct in Indianapolis, with many of his college friends. He loved his work. Lee leaves to cherish his memory his mother and stepfather, Diana and Gary Williams, his brother, Craig Johnson, his twin sisters, Andrea (James) Campbell, and Kelly (Joe) Heath, his aunt Sandy, his uncle Rob, his Uncle Mark, his Aunt Kay, his cousin Abby, his nieces Kati, Izzy and Skylar, his very special friend, April, his father, Stephen Johnson, and many, many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers and grandfathers and many aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.
