Leah Lavonne Renbarger

July 14, 1931 — April 29, 2014

Leah Lavonne (Hersberger) Renbarger, 82, Anderson, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on July 14, 1931, in Noblesville, Indiana to John and Berniece (Williamson) Hersberger. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1949. Leah had worked for the Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation and Coca Cola in Anderson. She was a member of the Madison County Ladies Shrine Club. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Renbarger; five children, Rex Renbarger, Cathy (husband, David) Hardwick of Anderson, Susan (husband, Gerald) Horning of Elwood, Amy (husband, Max) Burton of Lapel, and Jenny Renbarger (fiance, Terry Corbett) of Anderson; eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Royce; a great-grandson; and two brothers, John Delbert "Deb" and William Ronald Hersberger. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 2, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Marc Adams officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, May 2, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Shrine Club Crippled Children's Fund or the Madison County Humane Society.
