Laura S Belbot Kumkowski

Laura G. Belbot Kumkowski, 82, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Willow Lake Place in Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born May 18, 1934 in West Moreland, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Jack A. and C. Jewel Smith. Laura retired from Guide, Division of General Motors. She enjoyed her passion of music as a life long pianist. Her beloved dogs brought her many years of companionship and joy. Laura, or “Jeri” as she was called, was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Casmer J. Belbot and Clarence Kumkowski. She is survived by her three children, George A. and (Teresa) Hudson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Deborah J. Newman of Carmel, IN; and Jack P. and (Shelly) Belbot of Carmel. She is also survived by four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Fr. Charlie Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
