PENDLETON- Laura Elisabeth Hartwell, 70, of Pendleton, passed away at her home on February 4, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on July 4, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Walter and Beulah Marie (Gray) Kindley.
Laura was a loving wife, mother and grandmother in addition to a hardworking strong woman. She spent time working as a teaching assistant at Pendleton East Elementary School, and Pharmacy Technician at CVS in Pendleton for several years. She had a love for crafting and scrapbooking, cheering on her children at baseball games, and her deep affection for her grandchildren was evident in her home filled with photo canvases.
Survivors include her beloved husband, David B. Hartwell, Sr.; four children, Devon (James), Robyn, David, Jr. (Rachel), and Christopher (Camelia); 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings Pamela Clayton (Bobby), Lula Urey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jan and Judy, brother Charlie, nephews Shawn and Michael, and niece Debbie.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes – Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton followed by a crypt side service at 2:30 p.m. with entombment following at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
