Larry Joe Tegge, 82, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at Sugar Fork Crossing. Born on August 18, 1942, in Anderson, to Joseph John Tegge and Ruby Lee (Clark) Tegge, Larry lived a life full of joy, laughter, and service.
A proud veteran, Larry served in the United States Air Force, and he channeled that dedication into his long career as a supervisor at Guide Lamp, a division of General Motors. Outside of work, Larry had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to his property. His love for animals was evident in his bond with his faithful dog, Charlie.
Larry loved his family dearly, and he is survived by his children, Julie (spouse, Randy) Pursley, Jill (spouse, Todd) Harman, and Jennifer (spouse, Sean) Whitmoyer; Siblings, Ronald (spouse, Pam) Tegge and Jack (spouse, Karen) Tegge; Grandchildren, Sydnee Kirby, Chloe (spouse, Taylor) Lemons, Sharaden (spouse, Wyatt) Glover, Ryder Pursley, and soon to be great-grandchild, Carter Lemons.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 58 years, Melva (Sylvester) Tegge, she was the love of his life and highschool sweetheart. She left this earth in 2020 and has been patiently waiting for his arrival for them to be reunited.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 1:00pm at East Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
Services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel in Anderson.
