Larry Stiles

Larry Stiles, 73, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.

He was born on March 16, 1943, in Elwood, Indiana to Clarence and Ruth (Wilson) Stiles, Sr.

He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1961 and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Larry retired in 2002 from the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation where he worked as head mechanical maintenance supervisor.

He was a member and past master of the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625; Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis; and the Murat Temple Shrine. Larry was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay (Baker) Stiles; two children, Christine Stiles and James Stiles both of Noblesville; seven grandchildren, David Stiles of Seattle, WA, Chad Neff of Anderson, Jordan Stevens and Ethan Dunlap both of Noblesville, Carrie Neal of Prattville, AL, Allie Voelpel of Oklahoma City, OK, and Brian Oker of Staunton, VA; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Stiles of Trafalgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Stiles; two brothers, Jack Stiles and Clarence Stiles, Jr.; and two sisters, Gladys Hunter and Jessie Stiles.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Robert Stiles officiating. Burial will be in Carey Cemetery, Noblesville with military graveside rites at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel where the Lapel Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic Memorial Rites at 7:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Association.
