L Grace Stout

L. Grace Stout, 89, Lapel passed away Saturday, December 20, 2003, at Windsor Estates in Kokomo following a brief illness. She was born on October 24, 1914, in Hamilton County to Jefferson and Edith (Apgar) Huffman. She was a 1932 graduate of Lapel High School and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel. She is survived by three children, Larry (wife, Dolly) Stout of Knightstown, Danny (wife, Sharon) Stout of Kokomo, and Rebecca Swinford of Lapel; a daughter-in-law, Doris Stout of Berne; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Joe Stout in 1969; one son, Rev. Jerry Stout in 2002; and brothers and sisters, Roger Huffman, Lee Huffman, Esta Reagan, Donald Huffman, and Jeannette Price. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, P. O.
