Kylee Renee Tompkins

Kylee Renee Tompkins, 31, of Anderson, passed away on June 13, 2023. Kylee was born on June 23, 1991 in Anderson, IN to Brandon Tompkins and Teresa (Dowden) Carr. Kylee worked for Carters Express Logistics as a dispatcher.

Kylee was a beautiful person inside and out. A combination that is hard to find. She was witty, smart, and respectful of everyone she met. Family was everything to her. Kylee was a lot of things to a lot of people, but her main title was “mom.” She loved all three of her children with every breath that she took. She was strong and resilient when she needed to be, and overcame every obstacle with her head held high. She was fierce and loving, she never knew a stranger, was a great friend to many, even when they weren’t so deserving. Kylee was everything, she knew her worth, but she never made anyone feel as if she were above them. She was always the first to give, to help, to step up, and to lend a hand. She made even the small or shy, feel important, beautiful, and loved. People radiated to her because she was genuine, almost magical.

Kylee will be dearly missed by her parents, Brandon Tompkins and Teresa (Robert) Carr; children, Ameira Tompkins, Zayonna Hart, and Jason Tompkins; significant other, Deon Ball; step-daughter, Poetic Ball; siblings, Tyler (Crystal) Tompkins, Steven Tompkins, Destany Sterling, and Samara Tompkins; step-sisters, Hailey Carr and Cheyana Carr; paternal grandmother, Donnieta Jordan; uncle, Rick (Paisha) Dowden; and nephews and niece, Tylend Beckley, Madyson Tompkins, Terrenzo Girnston, Jr., and Kavion Girnston.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lella Stephens.

The visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin right at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
