Kerry Dean Jarrell

Kerry Dean Jarrell, 65, Alexandria, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Community Hospital following a sudden illness.He was born on October 11, 1952, in Anderson, Indiana to Ronald and Nancy (Williamson) Jarrell.Kerry graduated from Lapel High School in 1970. He worked for many years in local convenience stores in the Anderson area making many friends with the customers.He enjoyed traveling to different race tracks with his brother-in-law, Ken de la Bastide. Kerry had a love of photography, nature and nascar.Kerry is survived by his father, Ronald Jarrell; sister, Kelly (Ken) de la Bastide; sister-in-law, Jamie Jarrell; nieces, Charity (Danny) Elsten, Kayleigh Richards, Kensie Jarrell; nephews, Jason Pigg and Jake Jarrell; great-nieces and nephews, Justice Harris, Katie Pigg, Evelyn Richards, Jimmy Pigg, Will Harris, Jordan Elsten and Elyas Richards; special family members, Tim and Mary Ann Bigham; K-9 best friends, Ally, Abner and Jackson; one uncle, several aunts and many cousins.He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Williamson) Jarrell; brother Kenny Jarrell; stepmother, Pat Jarrell; and grandparents.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating.
