Kenneth Noel Reed

Kenneth Noel Reed, 86, of Anderson, passed away on February 20, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on June 16, 1932 in Anderson to the late Ralph and Mary (Hill) Reed and lived in Anderson his entire life. A 1952 graduate of Anderson High School, he remained a loyal fan of the Indian basketball team. He was once credited as being their #1 Fan. After his retirement from Guide Lamp and KR & Sons Windows, he spent many happy days on his houseboat, “Knot To Worry” docked at Lake Cumberland. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne (Parker) Reed; daughter-in-law, Kerri Bunn Reed of Brownsburg; granddaughter, Sydney Morgan Reed of Johnstown, PA; brothers, Morris Reed, Ronnie Reed, Tom Reed, Phillip Reed and Larry Balsar; sister, Shirley Valentine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott James Reed; and brother, Ralph Reed, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Art Jaggard and Rev. Phillip Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Daleville American Legion Post 446 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 907 North Raible Avenue, Anderson, IN 46011.
