Kenneth Gene Beach

Kenneth "Kenny" Beach, 81, Anderson, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at his home following an extended illness. He was born on February 11, 1932, in Anderson, Indiana to Russell and Erma (Cross) Beach. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1950. Kenny retired in 1991 from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors in Anderson where he had worked as a crib attendant for over 39 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lapel. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannine (De Voll) Beach; four children, Becky Beach (companion, Danny Schuyler) of Lapel, Teresa (husband, Gary) Stinson of Anderson, Brent (wife, Dee) Beach of Nevis, MN and Lisa (husband, Michael) Mitchel of Anderson; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Lackey (Bob Broyles), David Lackey (Melissa Rundquist), Jeramey Stinson, Christie (husband, Brady) Jernigan, Bill Beach, Matthew (wife, Alison) Beach, Patrick Beach (fiance, Emily Erikson), Katie Beach (Harrison Billman), Jessica Mitchel, and Sean Mitchel (Tori Langley); five great-grandchildren, Tyler Lackey, Myah Stinson, Grissom Jernigan, Andrew Stinson, and Nicholas Billman; two brothers, Richard (wife, Eileen) Beach of Lowell, MI, and Lowell Beach of Louisville, KY; and one sister, Marilyn (husband, Karl) Huffman of Scottsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dillard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.
