Keith Bronnenberg, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away May 25, 2016 at his residence.
He was born September 18, 1941 in Elwood. He graduated in 1959 from Lapel High School and in 1963 from College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis.
Keith worked for 17 years at Baker Brothers Funeral Home and retired from Guide Lamp after 31 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Keith enjoyed a wealth of treasured friendships among which was his best friend, Josie Condon. His love of nature, along with his talent, produced many admired landscapes and home interiors. He will be missed by many for his compassion, gentle spirit and his wit.
Rest well, dear soul, and enjoy your reward.
He is survived by his husband, Douglas Stoecker of Indianapolis; daughter, Gina Bronnenberg of Anderson; sisters, Rita Lester of Anderson and Donna (husband, Paul) Parton of Frankton; granddaughter, Joslin Bronnenberg of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and his dog and buddy, Sebastian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orval Bronnenberg; mother and stepfather, Hilda (Likens) and Richard Birkhead; grandparents, Noble and Maude Likens; and brother-in-law, Chuck Lester.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or Damien Center, Indianapolis.
