Kathy Ann (Herrington) Mock, 64, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, after a five-year battle with cancer. She was born December 7, 1955, in Anderson, to Joe and Kay (Turner) Herrington. She married Alan Mock on March 24, 1979, and he survives. Also surviving are her mother Kay Herrington of Anderson, son and daughter-in-law, Brett & Monica Mock of Indianapolis; siblings, Teresa (husband, Bruce) Dunham of Anderson, Jeff (wife, Sherri) Herrington of Anderson, and Mike (wife, Shawn) Herrington of Kokomo; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Herrington. Kathy was a long-time resident of Anderson and Columbia City, Indiana. She graduated from Highland High School in ’74 and Anderson University School of Nursing in ’89. She dedicated her life to helping and healing others in numerous capacities for thirty years as a nurse, including working at hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and as a home care provider. She loved music, dancing, reading, boating, and cheering on the Pacers and Colts. Kathy believed in the strength of positive thinking and was proud to remain positive through her fight with cancer. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and was anxiously anticipating the birth of her first grandchild. A celebration of life will be held at the Millcreek Civic Center at 403 W. Main Street in Chesterfield, IN 46017 on Saturday, September 19th from 12 – 4 PM.
