Katherine M. Mcclintock

Katherine M. "Grandma Katie" McClintock, 87, Lapel, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness. She was born on July 22, 1926, in Anderson, Indiana to Chester and Amanda (Luckhart) Lowman. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1944. Katie worked at the former Foland Farm canning factory and for many years as a bookkeeper at the former Citizen's Grain in Lapel. She also farmed the family farm with her husband and son. She attended Ford Street United Methodist Church and was active in the former Lapel Job's Daughters Bethel No. 39. She was a member of the Jackson Township Home Ec Club. Katie loved all of her grandchildren and attended many or their sporting activities. She also enjoyed crocheting baby sweaters and doilies. She is survived by three children, Roger McClintock, Diana (husband, Mark) Males, and Jerry McClintock (Sharon) all of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Bob McClintock (fiance, Jackie Seyfert), Tracy (husband, Andy) Bracken both of Anderson, Yana (husband, Todd) Mosley of Pleasant Hope, MO, Shelly Troutman of Lapel, Amanda Ridgeway (fiance, Tim Hood) of Anderson, Mollie (husband, Kevin) Stephenson of Lapel, Cody (wife, Jessie) McClintock of Anderson, and Christopher McClintock of Anderson; eighteen great-grandchildren, Allie, Sara, Brock, Drew, Ashley, Elizabeth, Nicole, Katelynn, Caden, Avery, Katie, Jack, Riley, Bode, Bailey, Heidi Jo, and Levi; two great-greatgrandchildren,Olexis and Madison; one half sister, Marianna (husband, Bob) Abel of Anderson; a brother-in-law, Mark Eugene McClintick of Citra, FL; a niece, Carrie (husband, Josh) Dutton; her special Monday night card partners, Matt and Holly McClintick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 41 years, Wayne Elsworth McClintock. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. John Pflum officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
