Ms. Kaleda Goudy

Kaleda W. Goudy, 87, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020. She was born February 16, 1933 in Shirley where she was a lifelong resident. Kaleda retired after 36 years at Delco Remy, where she was one of very few women tool & die makers. She was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ, the UAW, and past member of the Shirley O.E.S. #492. Kaleda is survived by her children, Gary (Penny) Goudy, Deanna (Otha) Smith, & Karen (Tammy) Poole; grandchildren, Christy (Lee) Herrin, Angela (Scott) Holbert, Tara (Gabe) Peters, Jacob Wieneke, & Susan (Josh) Whitaker; thirteen great grandchildren; beloved pet cat, Tippy; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard L. Goudy; father, Chester Wisehart; mother, Wilna Wisehart; brother, John Wisehart; sister, Cathy Wisehart; and grandchildren, Richard Mays, David Wieneke, and Katrina Hill. Services will be at 11:00 am Friday, February 28, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Dan D’Angelo officiating. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will from 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
