Justin G. Bays, 96, of Anderson passed away on April 5, 2020 at Bethany Pointe Health Center. He was born on December 18, 1923 in Norton, Virginia to the late Howard and Ruble (Davidson) Bays. Justin retired in 1974 from Davis Dairy Farms after 37 years of service. The Davis family and farm was always a special part of Justin’s life. He continued to farm with his two sons for the remainder of his life. Justin was always interested and ever present on the farm. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1941. He was a life-long member and faithful servant at Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a long time member of the Madison County Farm Bureau and served on many agricultural board and advisory committees. He loved playing “I’ll Fly Away” on his guitar. Justin is survived by his children, Brian (Alicia) Bays, Alan (Kelli) Bays; son in-laws, Danny (Kathy) Boone, Ken Reeder; step children, Marcia (Jerry) McGuckin, Carolyn (Del) Harrington, Roger Lawson; grandchildren, Chris (Erin) Bradberry, Danielle (Gary) Griffin, Marissa Reeder, Todd (Tiffany) Boone, Sarah (Josh Senseney) Bays, Emi (Joachim) Bays Walker, Brett (Alicia) Bays, Seth (Molly) Bays; several great grandchildren and a sister, Susie Nichols. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Rose Bays; second wife, Iris Lawson Bays; daughters, Sylvia Bays Reeder, Victoria Bays Boone; siblings, Bob Bays and Janice Bays Wang. A private family farewell will take place. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Youth Summer Camp Fund, 4011 West 200 South, Anderson, IN 46011.
