June Maxine Mcsherry

ANDERSON – June Maxine McSherry, 89, of Anderson, Passed away Nov. 16, 2014 at St Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born April 13, 1925, in Elwood, to the late Frank and Bernice (Fowler) Simmons.

She was a graduate of Elwood High School and had worked for Anderson Memorial Park for about 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, however her passion for life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Ron (wife Beverly) McSherry of Florida, Chery (husband Anton) Lebitsch of Indianapolis, Gary (wife Sherrie) McSherry of Anderson; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilmetta Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William McSherry; and a brother, Robert Simmons.

A celebration of Maxine’s life will be held at her home on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 from 11 to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in her name.
