Judith “Judy” Kay Sanders, 82, peacefully joined the open arms of her Lord & Savior just as a beautiful sunrise broke the morning of Saturday, May 9, 2020. Judy was born March 29, 1938, in Anderson to the late, Harry H. & Vivian L. (Silvey) Jones and resided in Anderson her entire life. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1956. She worked for Anderson Community Schools for 15 years, but treasured her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother the most. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years. She also taught Sunday School for 55 years until her health declined. There will be a lot of children who trusted Christ as their Savior under her ministry. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Franklin “Del” Delano Sanders; children, Brian (Marie) Sanders, Lora Perry, & Brent (Dawn) Sanders; grandchildren, Brandon (Brittianie) Sanders, Lindsey Perry, Brett (Stephanie) Sanders, & Michael (Carrie Bennett) Perry; and great grandchildren, Breanna Reeves, Kierston Perry, Isabella Perry, Violet, Brighton, Brennan, Nora, Braylon, & Harrison Sanders. The family would like to give a special thanks to Providence House, especially the exceptional caregiver Lisa B. Private graveside services will be at East Maplewood Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Christian Academy or to a local Alzheimer’s support group.
