Judith Gail O’Brien, 74, Anderson, passed away January 1, 2015, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born February 3, 1940, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Julius E. and Florence (Charbonneau) Englund. She retired in 2005 after 30 years as a Register Staff Nurse in the E.R at Community Hospital. She volunteered with the Red Cross, Community Hospice and was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.
Judith is survived by her two children, Trena and Dr. Dan Gelfman of Fishers and Dr. Kent and Wendy O’Brien of Vonore, TN; two grandchildren, Keith O’Brien of Anderson and Jillyann Burns of Fishers; one brother and one sister, Stevan (Amy) Englund of Fenton, MI and Jennifer (Warren) Jarvis of Simi Valley, CA; two sisters-in-law, Rachael Englund of Fenton, MI and Diana Cram of Anderson, IN; one brother-in-law, Dr. David (Brenda) O’Brien of Columbus, In and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Neil Patrick O’Brien; two brothers, Richard Englund and David Englund; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Donald and Margaret O’Brien and a brother-in-law, Stephen Cram.
The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice for all their care and concerns.
Service will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Church of the Nazarene or the Donor’s charity of choice.
Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory will be handling the arrangements.
