Judith Ann Beckner

Judith Ann Beckner, 85, of Fortville, left this earthly life, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday July 22, 2016.

Judy was born April 15, 1931 in Fortville, Indiana, to Melville and Margret (Eakes) Rapp. She lived most of her life working as a homemaker, wife, mother and keeper of any family or friends that needed a good home. She would make time for one of her favorite things, playing cards with her beloved family & friends.

Judy attended Fortville High school, leaving to work at the M/M Factory and then Delco Remy in Anderson. She also loved to play volleyball on the Boosterette adult teams.

In 1950 she married Wilbur L. Beckner. This union was blessed with four children. Vickie D.Hardin (deceased), Dewenia K. Ellis (Ray), Lynn, IN. Rebecca S. Johnson, Ingalls, IN and Douglas L. Beckner (Dawn Manis) Pendleton, IN.

Judy was proceeded in death by her husband Wilbur, her daughter, Vickie, her grandson, Joseph Ellis, her parents, her brother Donald Rapp, sisters Nancy Daniels and Barbara Cozart

Judy is survived by her brothers, Jack (Mary Alice) Rapp, & Philp(Carolyn) Rapp; sister, Brenda (Verle) Brooks; Grandchildren, James Hagmaier, Gwen Graham, Joshua Ellis, Zephyr Johnson, Nathan Beckner, Max Beckner, Jake Beckner; Great grandchildren, Austin, Koralyn, and Paris Hagmaier, Brook and Boyce Hawkins, Dakota Ellis, Haili Harrison, Zander and Finley Johnson; and Great-great grandchildren, Avery Paschal, Desmond Hagmaier, and Jackson Golday.

Celebration of Life will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel.
