Joyce Ann Mosley

Joyce Ann Mosley, 77, of Lapel, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.

She was born on October 13, 1947, in Elwood, Indiana to George and Wanda (Warner) Ball. She was a 1965 graduate of Elwood High School and went on to earn her associate's degree in nursing. She retired from St. John's Hospital after 35 years as a licensed practical nurse.

She loved being outdoors by the pool with her grandchildren and feeding all the birds and squirrels. She loved hosting gatherings because she was the best cook around and always made sure we knew the secret ingredient was love. Everything she did was done with so much love. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother. Her door was always open and anyone that walked through her front door was welcomed with a smile and the warmest hug you have ever had. To know her was to love her, and she was incredibly loved.

Joyce is survived by her husband whom she married on February 22, 1969, Charles Mosley; two children, Trisha Bousman of Lapel and Aaron (wife, Heather) Mosley of Anderson; five grandchildren, Brayden Bousman, Chloe Bousman, Joseph Bousman, Evan Mosley and Kylie Mosley; two brothers, Greg (wife, Sandra) Ball and Gordon (wife, Sheila) Ball both of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051.

Cremation will take place with burial of ashes at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
