Joyce Dean Cave, 81, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on February 22, 2025, at her home after a brief illness. Joyce was born on January 2, 1944, in Athens, Alabama, to Aaron and Ruth Jones.
Following her graduation from Madison Heights High School, she married Truman "David" Cave in 1963. Joyce was a talented beautician, dedicating many years to her career, and brightening the days of countless clients. Joyce also worked many years at J.C. Penny's in the Men's and Women's Department. She was a longtime member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, where she found a sense of community and support.
Joyce is survived by her son, Alvin (spouse, Shelley) Cave, and her daughter, Evonnie "Onnie" Cave; One brother, Dewayne Springer; Grandchildren, Brandon Hallowell, Clayton Cave, Amanda Ellis, Seth Cave, and Shane Cave; Joyce is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Mary Jean Alexander.
A graveside service will take place at 1:30pm Friday, February 28, 2025 at East Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson, Indiana 46012, with Pastor Jesse Flood officiating.
