Joshua Shane Shupe

Joshua Shane Shupe, 44, of Lapel and former Pendleton resident passed away December 9, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born April 29, 1978 in Anderson, Indiana and was a 1996 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School.

Josh was Plant Manager for Deflecto Corporation for 17 years.

He enjoyed gaming of all kinds, Star Wars, Disney, and the Christmas Season. He loved going on walks, especially with the newest edition of the family Roxy Diesel Shupeā (German Shephard). Most of all, Josh loved hanging out with his family. Josh’s legacy is simply a life well lived instilling strong family values for generations to come.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Kristin Nicole (Schmidt) Shupe whom he married, May 3, 2003; children Emma Grace Shupe and Tyler Reece Shupe; mother, Mary J. (Carwile) Shupe; brother, Brandon (Amber) Shupe; nephews, Justin Shupe and Caleb Shupe; aunt Jane (Bob) Bales; uncle, John Carwile; aunt, Judy (Ted) Eaglin; very special friends, the Stephenson Family; mother-in-law, Debra (Lyndon Keys) Schmidt; brother-in-law, Ryan (Yana) Schmidt and children; grandmother-in-law, Barbara Schaller; many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, work family and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Robert Douglas Shupe; aunt, Connie Carwile; grandparents, Cecil and Wilma Shupe and John and Mary Carwile.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December, 17, 2022 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Tom Wiles officiating. A burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.

Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022, at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a college fund at Citizens State Bank in Pendleton in care of Kristin Shupe.
