Joseph Harvey

Joseph K. Harvey 67 joined his beloved wife on Aug 20, 2022, after a brief illness.

He was an avid race fan who spent most of his adulthood speeding through the turns at Winchester and Anderson Speedway.  In his free time, he enjoyed working on and building race cars, fishing and even capsizing boats and spending time with his grandchildren. If he wasn’t at the track, he was spending his free time tinkering with his projects and enjoying his retirement working on cars.

Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan Harvey, Mother and Father; Verle and Leona Harvey and his 3 brothers; Larry, Ed, and Jack Harvey.

He leaves behind 1 daughter; Alexis Harvey, 2 stepchildren; Michael Lewis and Michelle Lewis, 4 grandchildren; Paul Wilson, Aundrea (Josh) Beck, Amanda Wilson, and Aspyn Watt and 1 great granddaughter; Alice Wilson plus a host of family members. He leaves behind lifelong friends Charlie (Sheila) Barr, Jill Saxon and lifetime racing friends Ray Fullen and Gene (Faye) Fullen.

Services are as follows, Friday August 26, 2022, at Brown Butz & Diedring at 515 E. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013

Showing 10am-12pm. Friends and family will be welcome to speak afterwards on memories they have immediately afterwards. We know you have some, we would love to hear them, nothing is off limits here.

In lieu of flowers we ask that memorial contributions be made to the Animal Protection League of Anderson, In.
