Joseph Edward Redenbaugh, 92, of Anderson, passed away March 11, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Chesterfield.
Joseph was born October 9, 1923 in Elwood, the son of the late Edward and Barbara (Faulstich) Redenbaugh. He lived in the Anderson area most of his adult life.
On June 20, 1962 he married the late Bettye Phillips Redenbaugh. He graduated from Wendell Wilkie High School in 1942 and went to work at Delco-Remy of General Motors. He retired in 1986 after 44 years of service. Joseph was a member of Ovid Community Church and enjoyed camping and traveling in his motor home before his sight deteriorated. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Stoner and Theresa (Mike) Koester of Anderson, and Lynn (Ken) Ryden of Yorktown; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Georgia Mitchell, Nancy Turner, Thelma Buckner, Shirley Whitaker and Mary Phillips; several nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Myrna Neal.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Walker; son-in-law, Al Stoner; granddaughter, Barbara Stoner ; 2 sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Keith Wooden officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Center, the Salvation Army or to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
