John Samuel “Sam” Goodson

John Samuel “Sam” Goodson, 60, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday December 19, 2020 at Community Hospital Anderson. Sam was born on April 14, 1960 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Charles and Barbara Gallup. He was a 1978 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. Sam was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was an avid fan of basketball and the Los Angeles Rams. Sam is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Sharon Goodson; Samantha Goodson; stepdaughter, Crystal (Daniel) Hopkins; goddaughter, Shelby Sells; parents: Charles and Barbara Gallup; brothers and sister: Chuck and Bill Gallup and Margo Swanson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Sam will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday December 24, 2020 at the Brown Butz Diedring Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Walk Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time-of-service Thursday at the funeral home. Attendees are asked to wear a mask or facial covering, and follow social distancing.
