John Jack Parry

May 15, 1929 — August 30, 2014

John “Jack” Parry, 85, died August 30, 2014 at Bethany Pointe Health Campuse after an extended illness.

He was born May 15, 1929, the son of the late John Franklin and Minnie Lee (Morse) Parry, in Elwood.

He graduated from Anderson High School in 1947 and then served in the United States Air Force from 1948-1952. He worked for Miracle Tool & Gage, Inc, retiring as a Plant Manager after 42 years of service.

On May 28, 1968 he married Jan Kline and she survives him.

In addition to Jan, Jack is survived by his children, Mary Ann (Tom) Baumiller, Christine (David) Waldren and Nancy Gapen; his grandchildren, Charity (Danny) Johnson, Janice (Keith) Wiessner, Karin (Bobby) DiCarlo and Justin Gapen; his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bailey and Riley Johnson, Quinn Wiessner and Tommy DiCarlo; and his best friend Stan Shelton.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Father Ray Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to Trinity Episcopal Church.
