John E. Davis, Sr.

John E. Davis, Sr., 84, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on March 15, 2025, at Community Northview Health and Living. Born on February 24, 1941, to William Earl and Mary Davis, John was a lifelong Anderson resident who graduated from Anderson High School. He went on to marry the love of his life, Sharon (Shipley) Davis, and together they built a beautiful life.

John dedicated many years to working in various factories, but what truly mattered to him was his faith and family. He was a loyal member of the Anderson Seventh-Day Adventist Church, always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

John had a passion for the outdoors, and you could often find him casting a line at his favorite fishing spots or chatting with friends over coffee at McDonald's. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his six children, Bob Davis, John Davis, Jr., Sandra Clabaugh, Tim (spouse, Suzy) Davis, David (spouse, Chris) Davis, and Sarah (spouse, Mike) Reinhart; One brother, Frank Davis; Fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00pm. Burial will conclude services at Huntsville Cemetery.
