John C. Buchert

ANDERSON- John C. Buchert, 90, of Anderson, passed away, August 2, 2018 at Community Northview. John was born September 21, 1927, in Shelbyville, the son of John M. and Frances Buchert. Prior to moving to Anderson in 1965, he graduated from Waldron High School and was a WWII Veteran having served in the US Army. John loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou (Dale) Stinson; a son, Bruce (Laura) Buchert; a granddog, Stella; and a special friend, John Walukonis. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Frances Buchert; and his second wife Thelma Buchert. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Rev. Eddie Perciful officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
