Joann Downey

Joann Downey, 92, of Anderson, passed away on July 12, 2019 at her residence. She was born on October 7, 1926 in Anderson to the late Charles and Mary Ann (Stewart) Redick. At one time she worked in Real Estate with George Pulos Reality and Norton Reality. She was member of the Anderson Eastern Star and enjoyed art and baking. Joann is survived by her children, Mark (Nancy) Downey of Indianapolis, Robert “Doug” Downey of Pace, Florida, Gayla Ann Daniel of Anderson; grandchildren, Marc Daniel, Patti Daniel, Joe Downey, Matt Downey, Dave Downey; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and sister in-law, Helen Downham. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Downey, and four siblings. Services will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
