Joan Foley, 96, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was born September 16, 1921, in Warrington, England, to the late John P. & Florence (Malem) Crollar. Joan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Homemakers’ Club of Jackson Twp, the Wednesday Morning Women’s Bowling League at Cooper’s, and the British Women’s War Bride Club. Joan is survived by her children, Jerome (wife, Pamela) Foley & Diane Fredericks; grandchildren, Mickey (wife, Amanda) Foley, Rodney (wife, Hope) Foley, Angela (husband, Matt) Butcher, Rebecca (husband, David) Galvin, & Kathleen Shelton; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Foley; son-in-law, Gerry Fredericks; and granddaughter, Julie Kappeler. Visitation will be from 10 a.m to Noon Thursday, September 6, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Followed by graveside services at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Miller’s Merry Manor of Chesterfield for the dedicated care of Joan.
