Jewelle A. “Abby” Jewell

Jewelle A. “Abby” Jewell, 94, passed away October 4, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born April 28, 1922 in Grant City, the daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Johns) Sheets. Abby worked in manufacturing for a number of years, first at Western Electric and then retiring from Brookside. She was a member of New Hope Trinity Church in Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Roberts of Greenfield; grandchildren, Jerry (Kristy) Mayes of Greenfield, Kevin (Julie) Mayes of Pendleton, Lori (Chris) Murdock of Alexandria, Brian Bainter, Debbie Hester and Robin Jones, all of Georgia; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Warrum and Harry Jewell; and son Errol Ken “Jack” Bainter. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, Anderson with Rev. Justin Riddell officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
