Jewel Toombs

Jewel “Judy” M. Toombs, 70, of Anderson, passed away, June 10, 2015, at her residence, as a result of a brief illness.

She was born January 19, 1945, in Anderson, to the late John and Rose (Campbell) Willis.

Judy was a very caring, loving woman. She was always helping people, from her grandkids and family to people around town. She loved to go out shopping and getting her hair and nails done with her only granddaughter, Ashley McGuire.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Nick Toombs: son, Erik (Andrea Rule) Toombs; stepson, Terry Toombs; brother, John Willis; daughter-in-law, Shelli Toombs; grandchildren, Ashley (Shane) McGuire, Gregory Toombs II, Dirk Toombs Austin Toombs, Ethan Toombs, Aaron Toombs, Tyler Toombs, Bo Toombs; and great grandsons, Xander Hosier and Pierce Toombs; and several nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by a son, Greg Toombs; father and mother-in-law, Rex and Eloise Toombs, and a sister-in-law, Penny Willis.

Services will be 1 pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with her nephew, John Buck Willis officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
