Jerry Lee Sanders, 74, Anderson, passed away August 14, 2014, at Community Hospital Anderson after an extended illness.

He was born February 13, 1940 in Elwood, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Heater) Sanders. He lived all of his life in Madison County. He retired from General Motors/Delphi where he worked as a Press Operator. On August 27, 1982 he married Donna Stone.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and hunting. He was a past-President of the Anderson Coon Hunters Club and also enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his loving wife Donna, he is survived by his five daughters, Tina McDole, Jerrica (Gabe) Gauvas, Jerri Sue (Antwaun) Jones, Donna (Ja’Sean) Agnew and Olivia Butler; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Norman (Lucy) Sanders, Jeff Sanders and Karen Sanders; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert, Jimmy, Marty (James Sargent) and Patrick Stone, Jake, Needie and Penny (Danny Kunce) Maxwell, Ed Hatter, Brenda, Barbie, Billy, Buddy, Franklin and Gary (Belinda) Clark and Becky (Ted) Reeves; and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Robert G. Stone; mother-in-law, Thelma Hatter; grandson, Michael Bruist; nephew, Richie Sanders; brother-in-law, Johnny Stone; and Holly Manifold.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Lisa R. Porter officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
