Jerry Lee Farr, 84, of Pendleton passed away December 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Benjamin and Mildred (Lynn) Farr.Jerry was a 1952 graduate of Pendleton High School. He retired from Guide Lamp as a Maintenance Painter after 38 years of service. He owned and operated a Dairy Farm for 25 years, was a Painting Contractor for 20 years, and volunteered for the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Service for 25 years.Jerry was a member of the Pendleton First United Methodist Church, Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Service, NRA, and North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, grandsons and great grandsons. Later in life he enjoyed painting artwork.Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Boicourt) Farr of Pendleton; children, Clee (Varian Powell) Farr of FT. Lauderdale, FL, Christy Thomas of Spencer, IN, Kyle (Tracy) Farr of Pendleton; grandchildren, Olivia (Nick) Sporinsky, Kimberly Shah, Jacob Farr, Justin (Blaine) Barnhart, Adam (Brittany) Farr, Shelsea (Josh) Copeland, Kaygan Thomas, Britni (John) Strange, Averi Gilley, Alissa (Jerry) Banda; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Sue Dennemann, Darlene Allen, several siblings in Texas, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Allen, Bill Farr, John Farr; father and mother in-law, Merle and Nellie Boicourt; sister in-law Joyce Douglas.The family would like to thank the St. Vincent Hospice Team, especially Dr. Rimawi, Dr. Yeh, and nurse Natasha for their compassionate care.Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Pendleton First United Methodist Church, 225 W. State St., Pendleton with Pastor Doug Walker and Dr. Raymond Probasco officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre – Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Service, PO Box 165, Pendleton, IN 46064 or Pendleton First United Methodist Church, 225 W.
