Jerry L. Johns

Jerry L. Johns, 84, of Anderson, Indiana passed away Dec. 15, 2021 at his residence. Jerry was born April 3, 1937 in Wilkinson, Indiana to Robert I. and Doris E. (Young) Johns and resided in Anderson the past 22 years. He was a former Wilkinson and Pendleton resident. Jerry retired as a tool and die maker from Delco Remy Division of GM in Anderson following 38 years of service. He was a 1955 Graduate of Wilkinson High School and attended Ball State University. Jerry was a member of Shirley Masonic Lodge # 531 F.&A.M., York Rite Commandery of Knights Templar in Knightstown, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and Anderson Bowling League where he was past president. He was an inductee of the Anderson Bowling Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors include his beloved wife, Donna C. (Meredith) Johns whom he married May 2, 1958; three children, Carla S. (David) Baugher of Noblesville, Eric C. Johns of Pendleton and Steven L. Johns of Anderson; six grandchildren, Leanne Roberts, Jennifer True, Ashley Johns, Matthew Johns, April Baugher and Erika Johns; seven great grandchildren; sister, Beverly R. (Ronald) West; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Terry Johns, Janet Neal and Diana Roberts. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at Condo and St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, Indiana with Phil Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson. Visitation hours will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021 and 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at the funeral home.
