Jerry Arnold

Jerry Arnold, 80, of Lapel, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.He was born July 23, 1941, in Tipton, Indiana to Robert Allen and Mary (Farris) Elizabeth Arnold.Jerry graduated from Tipton High School class of 1959.He retired as a tool maker from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors.Jerry had a passion for woodworking; in fact, he had a Patton on a Kobra tool that him and his friends invented. Jerry was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and was a lifetime member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge #164. Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Earlene (Stone) Arnold; three children, DeeAnn (Ronnie) Ross, Cary (Susie) Arnold, and Cory Arnold; one sister, Beverly Pace; five grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Marina, Chaleigh and Brock; Two great-grandchildren, Theodore and Ava. He was also survived by two nieces, Pam Hickman and Kathy AmesJerry was preceded in death by his parents.A funeral service will be held at Ford Street United Methodist Church, 925 North Ford Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 4:00PM, with Rev. Glenn Knepp officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Ovid Masonic Lodge #164.Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the church on Sunday.Memorial contributions may be made to Ford Street United Methodist Church.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
