On December 16, 2024 Jerri Rae Buck, 75, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Anderson, Indiana got her angel wings. She was born on October 13, 1949 in Anderson, Indiana to Raymond Mitchell Stanesu and Georgia Flora (Gray) Stanesu.
Jerri worked for General Motors for 33 years where she was a financial secretary for the UAW Local 663. In retirement Jerri also worked for Hoosier Park Racing and Casino and Tractor Supply. She served as a Benefit Representative and was the first woman elected to be a delegate to the National UAW Convention. She also was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorrority, Job Daughter Bethel #13, American Business Women's Association, Queen Bees, Exchange Club Board of Directors, Member of the Delco Guide and Friends, United Way Chairman at Guide Lamp and the Financial Secretary for the Madison County CAP Council.
She loved playing golf and creating memories by taking pictures. Jerri's greatest joy was being with family and friends. She was known for her kindness and big heart. If you knew Jerri, there is probably a picture of you somewhere that she always treasured. She also enjoyed planning party's and going to Florida during the winter.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael D. Plummer; Daughter, Janet (Jimmy McLeer) Erlandson; Son, Justin (Virginia) Buck; Step-Daughters, Julie (Dave) Kitchell and Jana Plummer; Brother, Mitch "Buddy" (Mary Beth) Stanesu; Grandchildren, Karly Stephenson, Shelby (Bree) Erlandson, Raylee Buck, Max Kitchell, Goldie Kitchell, Minnie Kitchell, and Hannah Gross; Great-grandchildren, Tera, John, and Levi.
Jerri is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Herbert Gray.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2024 from 9:00am - 2:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
A funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Cohee officiating. Burial will conclude at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
There will also be a celebration of Life at the Bible Fellowship Church East Bay in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday, Januray 16, 2024 at 6:00pm. This celebration of life will also be livestreamed on Facebook.
