Jeff White

Jeff White, 63, of Shirley, passed away March 1, 2025.

He was born in Greenfield, Indiana on May 2, 1961, the son of the late Roy and Augusta (Patrick) White.

He graduated from Morristown High School in 1980 and in 1985 he graduated from Lincoln Tech with a Diesel/Gas Engine Degree. He married the love of his life, Rita (Cole) White, on March 28, 1987. He worked at Shelby Materials for 32 years as a drag line operator, heavy equipment operator and diesel maintenance. He attended Charlottesville Friends Church. He was known by his coworkers as "Turtle". Jeff was a simple man and his greatest love was working on his farm and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Rita; children, Calob White of Fountaintown and Miranda (Anna) White of Shirley; grandchildren, Cade White and Ameliah White; siblings, Susie (Walt) Buchanan, Marion JR (Linda) White, Steve (Judy) White, Tammy Orebaugh and Troy White.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, LeRoy White.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Bozell Funeral Home~Condo Chapel in Wilkinson, Indiana with Pastor Gary Jones officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7:30 PM prior to the service.
